Responsibilities:
As trusted Human Resources professionals partnering with employees and leaders to make The Villages Health the employer of choice, the Human Resources team is held to possess the highest level of ethics and integrity, while championing the vision and mission of the organization; therefore, TVH recruits Human Resources professionals who are supportive of these initiatives. The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for supporting various HR activities to include but is not limited to the following: onboarding new team members, preparing and processing HR related documents and forms, updates HR NCR dashboard, social media/company platform postings, HR projects, events and tasks, and general HR related inquiries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Uses customer service principles and techniques to calmly and pleasantly deal with internal and external customers and vendors.
- Reviews and processes new hires in ADP, uploads documentation using approved naming conventions.
- Reviews and processes other HR related paperwork as required.
- Coordinate and work with Total Rewards for wage approvals.
- Prepare and submit offer letters maintaining current offer letter templates.
- Coordination of drug screens and AHCA background checks.
- Works with TVH Hiring Managers with onboarding New Hires.
- Serves as resource for administering recruitment/HR policies, procedures and practices with supervisors, HR Staff, team members, and others.
- Completes assigned HR projects/reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Reconciles invoices for background checks.
- Processes TVH Employee ID badges and business cards, to include ordering, distributing, and invoice reconciliation.
- Assigns TVH Orientation date and maintains tracking.
- Submits IT ticket for new hires.
- Provides new hire orientation day support.
- Collect required I-9 documents and process E-Verify.
- Manages door codes request.
- Handles and prioritizes multiple ranges of advanced administrative duties with wide latitude for independent judgment and initiative.
- Manages social media/company platform communication (Yodeck, newsletter, Huddle Zone, LinkedIn, HR Connect, DreamMaker app, etc.).
- Supports the planning and execution of ongoing HR events, when necessary. • Assists Corporate Events Manager with facilitating TVH Events. • Prepares and distributes DreamMaker Passport cards. • Research market and provides monthly market analysis report to leadership. • Provides support in other HR functions ongoing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Management or relative field preferred. Two (2) or more years of HR related experience required. Benefits knowledge and experience preferred Project management experience preferred ADDITIONAL EDUCATION PREFERRED: SHRM-CP, PHR or CCP Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Proficient in electronic, verbal and written communication
- Proficient in Microsoft office to include Email, Word, Excel and Power Point
- Self-starter and motivated to work independently and productively with limited supervision
- Ability to multi-task and transition between various projects
- A high level of judgement and decision-making ability when interacting with all levels of staff and leadership
- Experience with HR information and HRIS systems
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prepare and analyze data and reports
- A high level of accuracy with minimal errors.
- The role requires strong interpersonal skills, project coordination abilities, time management skills, flexibility, compassion and empathy, a high level of sensitivity to confidential matters, and the ability to interact well with all levels of internal management and staff and external partners.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
