The Business Intelligence Analyst will be a subject matter expert for data extraction; data normalization; data analytics and data visualization solutions. This person will collaborate with key business stakeholders across the business including key sponsors across Business Process, Operational Finance, IT, Business Unit Leaders and Divisional Stakeholders. Collaboration across the business is critical as we build new metrics / dashboards by focusing on designing, developing, and testing with a smaller pilot group. Once the analytics are production ready, this role will support scaling these new reporting tools by sponsoring demos, training, one-on-one assistance and publishing key metrics to support change management / continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Once the analytics are production ready, this role will support scaling these new reporting tools by sponsoring demos, training, one-on-one assistance and publishing key metrics to support change management / continuous improvement.
- Critical skillsets include proven experience in Power BI, SQL, and working with data analytics.
- As the resident expert on Power BI, this person will exercise best practices to build quality data models, reports, and dashboards.
- Business Intelligence Analyst, core job roles include, however not limited to, the following job functions:
- Collect reporting requirements from Business stakeholders.
- Understand Business Requirements and design, build and deploy BI Solutions using Power BI.
- Develop and design SQL Scripts.
- Engage with ETL Developers to create or design extracts that feed visualizations.
- Conduct User Experience sessions, translate end user business requirements into intuitive, visually effective user interfaces for Dashboards, Analytics and Reporting.
- Conduct Unit testing, Integration testing and deliver production support services as needed.
- Produce documentation and provide effective training to end-users.
- Track progress on various aspects of projects, including when multiple projects are underway simultaneously.
- Participate in relevant meetings as scheduled, including meetings with internal and external pilot/project stakeholders.
- Ensure a smooth hand off to customers after a successful implementation.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience with latest versions of Microsoft Power BI
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into visual designs for interactive dashboards is required
- Experience with SQL, Stored Procedures & writing complex queries is essential
- Ability to communicate with associates at all levels throughout the organization
- Strong written communications skills with experience writing technical documentation
- Motivated, committed, and energetic self-starter dedicated to providing high quality and responsive service levels
- Ability to organize and prioritize from Priorities to Monthly | Weekly | Daily workload
- Strong problem-solving skills

- Strong Business background with the ability to map business processes, gather and analyze data, effectively present ideas and views to business audiences
- Ability to work well with people at all levels of the organization
- Healthcare IT Implementation Experience (Preferred)
- Project Management Experience (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree from college or certification from a technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook (Preferred)
- Strong technical expertise with comfort in triaging customer concerns and providing solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to relay technical information to non-technical audiences
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
