Scope of responsibilities:
- The Acute Care Services Supervisor provides clinical leadership and operational oversight for acute care line of services. This role ensures safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care by supervising clinical staff, coordinating patient flow, supporting interdisciplinary collaboration, and maintaining compliance with clinical standards and regulations. The supervisor serves as a clinical resource, mentor, and advocate for patients, staff, and the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical oversight to ensure safe, evidence-based nursing care for patients in EZ-Care Clinic
- Support staff in managing complex or high-acuity patient situations
- Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and positive patient experiences
- Under the direction of Manager of Clinical Training and Acute Care Services- Manage staff, oversee the EZ-Care Weekend Clinic staffing and operations related to the acute care service line for TVH. Hours of operation Saturday 8am-5pm and Sunday 8am-1pm
- Manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all EZ Care shifts, balancing patient care needs with staff availability
- Monitor schedule adherence and make real-time adjustments for absences or surges in patient volume
- Collaborate with Triage nurse to prioritize same day appointments
- Clearly document all communications and contacts with providers and personnel utilizing standardized documentation requirements, including proper format.
- Address operational issues and resolve conflicts in a timely, professional manner
- Assist with patient care as needed to maintain operations
- Participate in audits, incident reviews, and corrective action planning as necessary
- Participate in daily huddles and quality/ safety initiatives; contribute to workflow improvements
- Participate in various training initiatives as directed by the Manager of Clinical Training and Acute Care Services.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Must have a valid Florida Nurse’s License (LPN or RN).
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- BLS required, ACLS preferred
- Minimum of 3–5 years of nursing experience 5. 1-3 years of supervisory experience in similar clinical setting
- IV Certification (for LPNs)
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint
