This individual will manage two direct reports and manage and lead system-wide projects which require dedication of productive time, ability, and attention to ensuring that the business needs of The Villages Health are met through completion of Project Management Initiatives both identified by this individual and TVH leadership. This position will serve as the Manager of Project Management and Process Excellence. This individual will manage two direct reports and manage and lead system-wide projects which require dedication of productive time, ability, and attention to ensuring that the business needs of The Villages Health are met through completion of Project Management Initiatives both identified by this individual and TVH leadership. The Manager of Project Management and Process Excellence shall perform duties in a professional, confidential, ethical, and business manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Managing project managers: Ensuring that project managers follow the correct procedures and fulfil the duties outlined within their respective roles.
- Liaising with leadership: Keeping leadership updated on project progress and addressing any issues or risks.
- Process Improvement: Developing and designing workflows for assigning projects, allocating resources, and other processes.
- Setting standards and processes: Establishing guidelines and processes for managing projects, including establishing and ensuring deadlines for project deliverables to be met.
- Providing support and resources: Ensuring that projects have adequate resources to be delivered on time and within budget.
- Proactive Leadership: Identifying potential opportunities for improving upon projects to ensure that TVH business needs are met. Ensuring project deliverables are outlined and executed upon by individuals assigned for projects within established timeframes. Proactively communicate to team members and leaders within respective business units if/when project due dates may be impacted and obtain required approvals to deviate from original project plan if/when necessary.
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Three to five years related experience in a high-level business or administrative position that required confidentiality and composure.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have ability to quickly learn any specific departmental software that may be required.
- Must be extremely organized and flexible to adjust to multiple task requests and changing priorities.
- Proven experience as a self-starter who can work with little direction.
- Previous office and customer service experience required.
- Skill in utilizing various software packages such as Microsoft Office & Outlook.
- Skill in working with internet browsers.
- Skills in verbal and written communication.
- Highly organized and results driven.
- Date driven to define deadlines and meet them.
- Willingness to see problems as opportunities and a solution-minded approach.
- Possessing attitude and drive to accomplish goals on time and with quality.
- Highly collaborative.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and solid organizational skills, familiarity with a team’s function and respect for the hierarchy structure.
- Ability to be flexible, when necessary.
- High level of critical thinking.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects to meet Stakeholder expectations.
- Management of Project Managers and other staff as assigned.
